Who doesn’t love a pygmy goat? We certainly do!

Well, how about nearly 50 in one place all looking for attention, food and general cheekiness. We’re the biggest herd in Northumberland with all shapes sizes, ages and colours of pygmy goat.

Let’s not forget how they’re super friendly, ok maybe a little too friendly. Our little nanny goat Crunch loves climbing on people for love and attention. Yep she loves being on people’s shoulders like a parrot.

So, what is a goat experience you ask?

First you’ll arrive and no doubt be greeted by a goat who just wants you to love them and give them your attention.

You will have the opportunity to meet all the goats who all have names and their own personality.

Your slot will last 45 minutes. You will have time to meet and greet them all and feed them with our supplied fruit and vegetables.

As our goats love a pamper so we supply a brush to make them even happier.

Of course, you can take as many photos as you wish from a goat selfie, to a goat photo with our stunning Northumberland countryside in the background.

Sam will be your goaty guide so feel free to ask any questions about goats or our herd.

Your booking is private to your group meaning you will have all the space to spend time in nature with friends, family and goats. Our max group size of six.

We have a minimum age of 5 years old as our goats tend to lean on you when food is about, children up to the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Its raining outside, no problem we have an indoor area to run our experiences so no need to miss out on your goaty fix

Such a lovely experience - not in my comfort zone normally but I loved it!!Baby pygmies, pregnant pygmies, teenagers (!!) Right up to a proper Billy 'Goat Gruff' - amazing.So friendly and the lady owner was very patient and knowledgeable. Fed them all - great fun for everyone- we were aged 10 to 64 years and everyone loved it!Beautiful location - well worth a trip xxx 🐐 🐐 🐐 🐐

Lovely experience. We had a lot of fun getting to know the goats, brushing them and feeding them. Lovely setting and made to feel very welcome! Will definitely go back again!!

Sam was really accommodating when we had to cancel an initial booking due to health, and then when we did visit, it was just amazing! Beautiful farm with lots of gorgeous goats that we got to feed, brush, stroke and just be surrounded by. Sam was so knowledgeable about all of her goats and their welfare was clearly priority - there was no pushing them into engaging with us, just let the goats do as they pleased! We cannot wait to go again, hopefully once there's some babies to love too!

So welcoming very informative.Think it would be good if format was explained ahead of visit as by doing food first that’s really excitement whereas it may be best to do grooming explained how you can not hold to hug them so maybe change description thinking of younger ones.Also need signs for attraction

What an amazing experience at West Barn Pygmy Goats a full 45 mins interacting with cutest goats who all had their own character. Sam the owner was so informative and answered all our questions. We hand fed the goats and there were plenty comedy moments. I loved brushing the goats and taking their picture. Excellent value for money too at only £10pp. If you want a unique experience and love goats this is the one for you

Don’t think twice about booking the Goat Experience! Sam and all of the pygmy goats were so welcoming and friendly from the moment we got there. Sam was fantastic and provided us with so much knowledge about the goats. We have had the best time and will be looking to make this a regular thing. A brilliant way to take a break from a busy schedule and leaving feeling full of happiness and tales to tell 🥰

What an amazing experience we had today with the goats, everyone loved it and didn’t want to leave.Sam was really friendly and welcoming, and armed with bags of food and brushes for us! It’s very clear how loved and well looked after these beauties are.You get to meet the majority as they’ll want to be your best pal while you have a bag of food, and this was so much fun. When it came to brushing it was really relaxed as only a small group were remotely bothered by us being there. My 9 year old made a best pal “crunch” she was absolutely amazing and so friendly.I will 100% do this again and would recommend to anyone. Take a pair of spare clothes and live your best life! Who would have thought goats like to cuddle!No one would ever need therapy if they had a goat. What a wonderful day.
